Today’s Musical Treat: Tron Remix Snippets


If you type “M83″ onto the official Tron Soundtrack website, an easter egg allows you to hear some short clips from the brand new remix album, R3CONF1GUR3D. It sounds to me like Glitch Mob, M83, and someone soulful and funkay. For the lazy, here’s someone else’s capture below:

It sounds pretty wicked to me. Even Jonny Greenwood’s soundtrack to There Will Be Blood, while beautiful, had a bit of a flair to it that normally gets a little distracting in a film score. I didn’t get that sense at all from the Daft Punk OST to Tron Legacy, and I’ve been looking forward to hearing this music with a little more flair for a while.
